Please help us welcome Bimi Shrestha!

Bimi Shrestha has joined CDI Engineering Solutions as a Process Sustainability Engineer.  Her focus will be on Decarbonization, Renewable Energy and conversion of biomass.  Bimi holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UL Lafayette and is a PhD candidate in Systems Engineering expected to graduate in early 2023.  Bimi’s doctoral dissertation is on “Anaerobic digestion of low-strength wastewater influent for biogas production and wastewater treatment”.

Bimi comes to CDI with over 7 years of experience working as a Research Assistant at the Energy Institute of Louisiana at UL.  Her research interest focused on alternative energy, conversion of biochemical waste into viable resources, waste minimization, and process optimization. She is an advocate for clean, alternative energy and her goal is to adopt sustainable technology safely in process engineering to minimize greenhouse gas emissions for a cleaner environment.

“Bimi’s research accomplishments are a tremendous complement to CDI’s Sustainability initiative, where we are supporting a number of clients on decarbonization and renewable fuels.  I am excited to have her on our Process Engineering team”, exclaimed Robert Villio, CDI’s Director of Engineering.

Bimi’s accomplishments are:

  • Published peer-reviewed papers, posters and technical presentations.
