PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
CDI provided multi-discipline engineering, design, and project management for a project to store and transfer nitric acid (HNO3) at an agrichemical plant in southeastern Louisiana.
The plant has long produced HNO3 as a component or feedstock for other products; the company now plans to increase production in the existing plant and sell the product on the commercial market. CDI’s scope consisted of a new storage tank; rail loading facilities, and tie-ins from the new facilities to existing process units.

CDI worked with the client through FEL-2, FEL-3, and detailed design, responding flexibly to changes in direction and overall scope as the project progressed.
We sequenced the release of construction work packages to facilitate early construction and minimize impact on existing plant operations.
